Samyang Corp.'s "Allulose" has set the stage for its entry into the global market with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s GRAS certification.

Allulose is a sweet ingredient in figs and grapes and is called the optimal next-generation sweetener because it has a sweet taste similar to sugar. It is a type of rare sugar that exists in very small quantities in the natural world, but mass production is possible by using enzyme technology.
